Office of Recruitment and Multicultural Affairs (ORMA)

The Office of Recruitment and Multicultural Affairs (initially known as the Office of Recruitment and Retention) was established in 1969. Although the scope of the office was originally to increase Black representation on campus, it soon broadened its efforts to include other underrepresented groups, such as Native Americans, Mexican Americans, and Puerto Ricans. Today, the Office of Recruitment and Multicultural Affairs (ORMA) contacts undergraduate institutions to share information about HMS, is actively involved in the Revisit Weekend and other quality-of-life programs that affected underrepresented students, and helps to facilitate connections and support systems between current students, older students, and alumni.
