The Harvard School of Dental Medicine opened the Harvard Dental Center–Cambridge in February 2021. The practice aims to serve new patients in the Cambridge community and those who lost dental care after Harvard University Health Services announced the closure of its Dental Service in September 2020 owing to financial difficulties due to the COVID-19 pandemic. HSDM’s new clinic expanded dental care to include services such as orthodontics and oral surgery. It also offers services in general dentistry, orthodontics, prosthodontics, endodontics, periodontics, sleep apnea, radiology, cosmetic dentistry, and more.
