The Washington Society of Colored Dentists

The Washington Society of Colored Dentists was formed on November 14, 1900. The group changed its name in 1907 to honor the first Black dental college graduate, becoming the Robert T. Freeman Dental Society. This group, along with other early regional and national efforts, merged to become the National Dental Association in 1932.
